The New Valhall Flag

Immagine
Valhall's new flag is not yet official. It has been adopted by the principality's fleet as its naval flag and, to some extent, by the army. It flies over the Althing Palace but has not yet been raised in the courtyard of the prince's palace, where the traditional flag continues to fly. The flag recalls the colors typical of Norway or Iceland on Earth, clearly referencing the Viking tradition that informs almost all of Valhall's lore.

Lunar Sidereal Marines

Immagine
Luna is the other biggest player in the Solar game. Although less mighty than Galileo, its soldiers are no less valiant and defiant. During the Belt War, Luna was much more concerned in space battles than land operations, but sustained heavy fights nothing less. The soldier in the image is a member of 22nd Space Operation Regiment, which fought during the siege of Luna by the Galileo forces. Other operations included the battle of Syracuse, when the XXIII regiment was send to relieve the regular army from the attack of the 3rd Galilean Imperial Army. They wear a Titanium alloy armor and could wear different colors. Usually the standard colors of the Lunar army, Grey or Tan, but sometimes could wear more bright colors like this green, or the light blue of the 7th Regiment of the Special Forces .

Lunar Combat Infantry

Immagine
The Lunar Combat Infantry is the special military force of the Lunar League. It occupies an intermediate position between the marines and the regular army. It is usually employed for targeted attacks, anti-terrorism or special operations. The combat suit is woven from carbon fibres and titanium inserts and uses an advanced visor with sight support and other visual aids (infrared, macrobinoculars, etc.) The rifle is a railgun, very fast, but with relative penetration power, the SL-ShadowspikeX90 model. Combat infantry soldiers are highly respected in the League, but it is difficult to find recruits due to the high mortality of the corps, which is often engaged in very risky missions.

Kael Kene

Immagine
Prince Kael is relatively young, only 30. Despite everything, he has already proven himself a capable commander, demonstrating his skills against nomadic pirates and raiders from the Thousand Nations. Less convinced than his father about his sister's marriage to the Prince of Pallas, he nevertheless understands the political reasons behind the military defeat. Kael is an excellent strategist and a brilliant tactician, but he lacks his father's patience and calmness. He tends to see the world in black and white. As Crown Prince of Vallhall, Kael commands the principality's fleet.

Halkon II Kene

Immagine
The Kene are an ancient and noble family with ties to the pre-space Earth nobility and still maintain important connections with the German-speaking areas (in the broadest sense of the word) of Earth and Mars. Halkon II succeeded his father, Viglaik III, who was killed in a duel of honor when Halkon was just nineteen. Halkon led the country through the war against Pallas and Ceres, which he likely would have won had it not been for the intervention of the Lunar League and the Galilean Empire. A few years ago, he was forced to abide by the peace treaty and marry his daughter to the young prince of Pallas. A stout man devoid of irony, he is cold and calculating, but much loved by his people. In fact, he has renounced many royal privileges in order to increase the people's welfare and military spending. His heir to the throne is Prince Kael, who more or less shares his father's ideology but who, however, would like to avenge the offense caused by defeat with a new war.

Huscarl Heavy Battle Armor

Immagine
The Huscarl, the heavy armor of the Valhall Kingdom's space infantry, is a technological marvel. Produced by Eisenkern Armaments, one of the largest corporations in the Asteroid Belt, it is both a space battle suit and heavy armor for mass combat inside asteroids. So efficient that the Valhall marines were renamed after the suit. Not only is it extremely durable (diamond polymers with titanium fibers), but it also features integrated targeting systems, a visor with optimized optical aids, and, most importantly, magnetic stabilizers that allow them to fight with their feet planted on almost any surface. Unlike many space units, the Huscarl are also trained in melee combat, which in their case, in keeping with an ancient national mythology, are energy axes, a weapon as simple as it is effective. The armament thus includes an Eisenkern-made Schwerpunkt MK-III magnetic rifle and the Heliosync Industries "Viking" energy axe, originally designed as a mining tool. The Housecar...

Meta-Humanity Mercury

Immagine
Humanity's evolution is not set in stone. Although humanity left its home on Earth only three hundred years ago, some humans began to show obvious signs of genetic mutation after only a few generations. The first confirmed cases date back to around the first century of the Nemesis Era, on Mars. Some children in areas of the planet that were not very terraformmeed showed a notable increase in their breathing capacity and resistance to cold. Then there were the first fire children. In some colonial areas of Mercury, in areas under corporate control and not under that of the Coalition, where living conditions were harsher, the first metahumans appeared. They called them the fire children, because they tolerated heat more efficiently than other children and also began to show signs of external mutation, such as increased rods in their eyes to increase twilight vision and white hair to increase heat dissipation. Djinns, or pejoratively Salamanders as they are sometimes called, have al...
