Ceres Principality

 


Ceres was built in the last days of previous age, when was already clear Earth would be hit by planetoid Nemesis.
Its original function was to serve as gigantic greenhouse to grow foods needed in colonization efforts, on Luna and Mars.
It was a private company that erected the fist zero-g farms: The CAB (Ceres Agro-Busines)

In the years, without the guidance of the UN, at last CAB assumed a direct guidance , not only of the agricultural industries and farms, but also of the local political life.
In 79 ANC, the director of those times, Yuhe Alcantar, acquired the presidency of the republic and transformed the state in a corporative dictatorship.
His son, Xander, crowned himself prince of Ceres.

Culture: Many people of Ceres hailed by agricultural areas on Earth. Cultural mixing was very impressive. Indians, Chinese, Italian and Ukrainian peoples were often find side by side. After the Alcantar family took power, cultures started to blend. 
Nevertheless in the great colonial cylinders, local cultures survives and are quite recognizable.
Inside Ceres Inner City, Proserpina City, where the prince lives, the original Spanish culture of Alcantar family is strongly recognizable. Tango's Halls, Bullrings and moresco architetture are one of the marvels of Ceres, and a tourist main attraction.

Religion: As usual, in Solar System, religion is not a matter or a personal one. Ceres harbors, anyway, different religions. Buddhism and Islam come second after Christianity. A minor percentage of the population follows Hinduism and Taoism.

Princess Maia: Maia is the second born of Emperor Isaac, she is 30 years old. She was conceived with assistite procreation to ensure a second heir for the Empire. She is the Duchesse of Io, the most active moon around Jupiter and the source of the energy of the Empire extracted by geothermal activity of Io. Pallas Marines

  The soldiers of Pallas fought much more in the space than on surfaces and their marines are known to have aided the lowenwolf mercenaries in many operations.
